During my four years at Texas State University, I immersed myself in the study and practice of cinematic arts, developing a strong foundation in key filmmaking disciplines. My coursework and practical application focused on three core areas:

• Screenwriting: Honed my ability to craft compelling narratives, developing skills in story structure, character development, dialogue writing, and formatting scripts (Final Draft) for various film formats (feature, short, television, stage). Participated in workshops and peer review sessions to refine my writing and learn the collaborative process of script development.
• Film Editing: Gained proficiency in industry-standard editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro) and learned the art of visual storytelling. Developed skills in assembling footage, pacing scenes, creating visual effects, and using editing techniques to enhance the emotional impact of films. Applied these skills to numerous student film projects, gaining experience in different editing styles and workflows.
• Sound Design: Explored the crucial role of sound in filmmaking, acquiring knowledge of sound recording techniques, audio mixing, and sound effects creation. Developed an understanding of how sound can be used to create atmosphere, enhance the narrative, and evoke emotions in the audience. Applied these skills to student films, gaining experience in on-set sound recording, post-production audio editing, and creating immersive soundscapes.

• Applied meticulous attention to detail to ensure the audio elements of the scene were perfectly aligned with the director’s vision.
• Responsible for all aspects of on-set sound recording, including microphone placement, audio levels, and ensuring consistent, clear and high-quality audio capture.
• Proficiently operated a boom pole and attached sound recorder to capture high-quality audio in challenging acoustic environments.

• Choreographed and coordinated all stunt sequences for feature film, collaborating closely with actors to develop realistic and impactful fight choreography.
• Oversaw all on-set stunt work, ensuring the safety and security of the cast and crew while executing complex and dynamic action sequences.
• Successfully designed and executed five stunt sequences within budget and schedule constraints, contributing to the overall success of the film and earning positive feedback from the cast and crew.

• Responsible for all aspects of on-set sound recording, ensuring clear and high-quality audio capture through strategic microphone placement, precise audio level management, and effective use of a boom pole and attached sound recorder, even in challenging acoustic environments.

• Promoted to Management within six months of employment (May 2024), demonstrating rapid learning and adaptability within the fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Leverage experience gained as a Server to effectively lead and supervise staff, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include scheduling, training/mentoring, customer issue resolution and cash handling.

• Provided support to residents in accessing resources for hall projects, facilitating the creation of flyers, posters, and other materials.
• Managed order requests, including printing, cutting, and assembling project components.
• Oversaw equipment rentals, maintaining organization and accountability of resources. Responsible for the inventory and maintenance of audio-visual equipment, craft supplies, and large-format printers.
